No Nonsense

I have to write this down somewhere so I don’t forget.Â
The very, very best part of our summer was spending time with family and while we were on Vancouver Island, I endeavored to take N and E, and Shark, and M and S mini golfing, only it was raining.
“What’s the worst that could happen?” my friend Christine asks. I jokingly respond.
“My air could get all frizzy.”
“But Auntie Sarah,” pleads N. “No one cares about that.”
Sun in Junuary

June is typically not a good month here, and while I know its a little cool across BC’s coast, I’ve had to light a fire most mornings since the beginning of the month.   This year its really getting to me, and so I was very greatful to get this link to N and E’s Kindergarten Concert sent to me this morning by Bro J. For family members that have not yet checked it out, its pretty darn cute.
Miss you two….

And you are even able to pick your own greens in the hayfield…… don’t forget Georges le chat…

I Love You Guys To
July 20th, 2006 by LB, under Frick and Frack. No Comments
Faced with the formidable task of trying to get twin almost four year olds to hold up signs simultaneously, my brother sent this very touching and funny series of photos. Erin is holding a sign that says “Hi Sarah”, and Niall has one that says “We Love You.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?

Niall
are twin three year olds, who have become my niece and nephew. Niall is a kindred spirit, a truly social little guy who I believe uses toys as a way of engaging people in great conversations. Erin is incredibly bright and athletic, so much so she seems to defy what three year olds are typically capable of.
Recently I sat between them reading a story. I discovered courtesy of my brother John, there are ground rules for reading stories to twin three year olds, but that is a whole other post, suffice to say that four hands in the pages means you can’t see the words anymore.
As I’m reading, Niall says,
“Sarah, what do you want to be when you grow up”
” Uhhhhhh, Niall, I’m 38. This is it. What you see is what you get…… What about you?”
His face completely lights up and his eyes sparkle as he smiles and proudly announces,
“A Garbage Man”
“And what about you Erin?”
“A princess in a pretty pink dress.”
